Gondolas
One of the best known symbols of Venice, gondolas have many aspects and particulars which not always are easy to see. The forcolas (the typical rowlocks), the little or big golden decorations, the irons at the bow and at the stern. At the bow you find the one with a comb aspect which represents the sestieri (the six districts of Venice) and the island of Murano, Burano and Torcello and at stern there are different kinds of interchangeable curls (in some photos you can see precisely the the point of conjunction).
